
COURSE OVERVIEW
The Basic Implant Course is specifically designed for dentists who are new to dental implant placement. The first session will concentrate on basic surgical and implant therapy, with a focus on mastering the single-tooth implant. The course aims to provide dentists with a solid foundation in the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively diagnose, plan, and place dental implants in their own offices.

COURSE SCHEDULE
- 8:00AM – 8:30AM: Sign-in/Breakfast
- 8:30AM – 5:00PM: Lecture/Hands-on/Live-Surgery Observation

Day 1: Friday, April 10, 2026
- Evaluating patients: anatomy, medical assessment, site volume
- Understanding fundamentals of bone biology, wound healing, biomechanics
- Navigating implant console, motor, surgical kit, prosthetics
- Planning and placing implants in correct location, angulation, depth via freehanded
Day 2: Saturday, April 11, 2026
- Planning an intermediate case and deciding correct size, position
- Learning materials and methods of bone grafting and membranes
- Restoring implants with excellent cosmetic results
- Implementing excellent sterile technique
Developing good clinical decisions and clear dialogue with patient
Day 3: Friday, April 17, 2026
There will be a prosthetic workshop that demonstrates DENTIS™ implant components and participants will practice drilling with dummy fixtures and models. This will be followed by a porcine mandible model workshop. The final part of the day will include case studies from the course director.
Day 4: Friday, April 18, 2026
Attendees will participate live surgery that’s supervised by the course director and faculty.
* EA current malpractice policy and an active unrestricted Oregon dental license is required for attendees to be able to participate in surgical procedures.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Refunds are granted only if a written cancellation notification is received within 31 days before the course. 50% of the tuition minus processing fee will be refunded if cancellation occurs within 21 days before this course. No refund is granted afterwards. A $75 fee is withheld for processing. Cancellation must be notified in writing by emailing info@gdia.com.
